The January edition of Vogue has to be one of my favourite picks of the new year - the glossy pages of this fashion bible foreshadow the coming trends of our new Spring wardrobes! With the cover girl, Natalie Portman gracing the magazines headlines, the magazine advertises the coming trends for 2011.
Inside, the photoshoot by Peter Lindbergh is described to the reader as 'Wearing Spring's cinematically romantic looks, a reporter (model Daria Werbowy) falls for her subject: A legendary photographer with a dark past ( Actor David Strathairn, star of The Tempest)'
My favourite outfits shown in this photoshoot are:
1) The silk, coral Versace jacket and skirt paired with the black and white Prada heels. Photographed in a desert-like setting, the car shown beside Brenda Starr complete the picture and give an air of the 1960's.
2) The Rochas silk printed dress on Brenda Starr has somewhat of a grad dress air, but simpler and more elegant. The beautiful yellow/green colour matched with the purple and periwinkle flowers printed on the dress complete the pictures rough, desert background and David Strahairns suave suit.
3) The Oscar de la Renta cotton posy-print dress is a beautiful colour on Brenda, not to mention the perfect pairing of the skinny waist belt and gold accent jewellry tie in her skin tones as well as makes her eyes pop.
4) In the last photo of the shoot, the Yves Saint Laurent cotton and silk dress and belt as well as the previously shown Prada Shoes, make for a perfect end to the shoot. The simplicity of the dress paired with the patterned shoes create a relaxed outfit and portray the situation perfectly - leaving.
